Dr. Evan Shipp![]() After completing his DDS, Dr. Shipp embarked on an enriching path. He delved into an Advanced General Dentistry Residency, honing his skills in the field. For 3 years, he practiced general dentistry, amassing valuable experience. However, his calling for excellence prompted him to pursue further specialization. He dedicated himself to the prestigious Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the renowned San Antonio Military Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program. This program, hosted by the Department of Defense’s sole level 1 trauma center, provided a comprehensive training ground. Dr. Shipp’s training encompassed a diverse range of procedures, from cosmetic enhancements to intricate reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Shipp’s commitment to his field was evident as he continued contributing to the residency program as an attending surgeon for an additional 3 years. In 2023, he embraced a new chapter in his journey, relocating to the vibrant Washington DC area. A diplomate of the esteemed American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the distinguished American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Dr. Shipp is deeply entrenched in his professional community. He’s also an active member of the American Dental Association and the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Beyond his professional affiliations, Dr. Shipp maintains a robust skill set, holding certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
