Dr. Geith James Kallas
A pioneer in modern dentistry for over 25 years! Dr. Kallas earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DDS) degree in 1989. In 1993, he graduated from the Howard University College of Dentistry postdoctoral program. While there, he completed his internship at the District of Columbia General Hospital. Since then, he has pursued inter-related continuing education courses, focusing on becoming a premier provider of advanced and comprehensive aesthetic dentistry.
Dr. Kallas realized early in his career that the technologies, materials, and procedures of general dentistry weren’t reaching the high threshold of quality care he had established for himself. He quickly learned that the techniques and materials used in cosmetic dentistry were stronger, healthier, and could also be applied to general dentistry for better, longer-lasting, and more attractive results.
As a result, he pursued advanced training at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies, a leader in providing aesthetic and neuromuscular dentists with the high level of skills necessary to successfully practice the art. Today, he is among only two percent of dentists in the world to have achieved this level of training.
A proponent of advanced training, Dr. Kallas makes sure that his dental team receives the most advanced dental education. Hygienists, assistants, and administrative personnel have been trained in the latest clinical techniques. Education is a continuing mission of the team, and they will do everything possible to ensure that you receive the best personalized care.
Named the Virginia “Dentist of the Year,” Dr. Kallas understands the difference an incredible smile can make in someone’s appearance and confidence. He frequently gives interviews about the latest advancements in dental technology. He has improved thousands of smiles in his practice, making him highly skilled in the art and science of smile design.

Dr. Kallas is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the American Academy of Laser Dentistry, the International Association for Orthodontics, the American Association of Functional Orthodontics, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kallas spends his time with his wife and two sons. He enjoys traveling and working out, and is an avid fan of the Manchester United Soccer Club. Dr. Kallas serves as a board member for several non-profit organizations.
Dr. Ferishta Faqeeri
Dr. Ferishta Faqeeri, DMD is a board-certified pediatric dentist from Florida. She was raised in Gainesville, Florida, and earned two degrees from the University of Florida (UF): a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Following this, she completed her postdoctoral dental residency in the NYU Langone Dental Medicine Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program. Having graduated in the top three percent of her class, she received the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award. Additionally, she was honored with the James R. Roche Award of Excellence for obtaining the highest score in the nation on the qualifying examination given by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Faqeeri has over a decade of experience working with children’s oral health needs.
Dr. Faqeeri found her passion and calling while providing dental care to under-served children in the public health sector. She has helped launch three school-based dental sealant programs and played a pivotal role in providing much needed dental care to rural migrant families.
Dr. Faqeeri is excited to meet with families from diverse backgrounds. Her young-at-heart, friendly, and reassuring personality makes her patients feel at ease with her. Her juggling skills are known to work magic on even the most nervous and tense young patients. In her spare time (when she’s not juggling), she enjoys working out, learning about new cultures, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and entertaining friends and family while cooking Persian food.
Dr. Virginia Atencio Orozco
Dr. Evan Shipp
Dr. Evan Shipp is a distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a board certification that underscores his expertise. Hailing from Chattanooga, TN, he embarked on his academic journey at the University of Tennessee, earning a degree in psychology. His thirst for knowledge led him to the University of California San Francisco, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS).
After completing his DDS, Dr. Shipp embarked on an enriching path. He delved into an Advanced General Dentistry Residency, honing his skills in the field. For 3 years, he practiced general dentistry, amassing valuable experience. However, his calling for excellence prompted him to pursue further specialization. He dedicated himself to the prestigious Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the renowned San Antonio Military Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program. This program, hosted by the Department of Defense’s sole level 1 trauma center, provided a comprehensive training ground. Dr. Shipp’s training encompassed a diverse range of procedures, from cosmetic enhancements to intricate reconstructive surgeries.
Dr. Shipp’s commitment to his field was evident as he continued contributing to the residency program as an attending surgeon for an additional 3 years. In 2023, he embraced a new chapter in his journey, relocating to the vibrant Washington DC area. A diplomate of the esteemed American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the distinguished American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Dr. Shipp is deeply entrenched in his professional community. He’s also an active member of the American Dental Association and the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Beyond his professional affiliations, Dr. Shipp maintains a robust skill set, holding certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). Dr. Shipp is poised to extend exceptional oral surgical care to our valued patients. His journey reflects a relentless pursuit of excellence, making him an invaluable asset to Smile Makers Dental Center.
Francesca E. Pregano, MBA
Francesca E. Pregano is the Chief Operations Officer of Smile Makers Dental Center. At Smile Makers Dental Center, she works closely with the owner and CEO in building a multi-location company that provides a unique multi-specialty business model – treating a wide demographic of patients across Northern Virginia.
With nearly 15 years of experience in dental management and a Master’s in Business Administration, Francesca’s primary focus is on building teams and operating systems.
With advanced training in leadership and management from the University of Notre Dame College of Business, it is her passion to empower those around her to achieve success.
Francesca is a member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers.
